Soon the Cyber fair is going to come to an end. In the beginning, I had no idea who Teacher Forng-Shean was and knew nothing about the art of miniature and brick carving. After completed the survey I have understood more about Teacher Chen’s experiences, as well as the history and the current situation of miniature and brick carving. I also have a better idea about the way the skills of miniature and brick carving are passed onto new generations.
We started with the mind map. We had a discussion on the topic, and agreed on the following topic: “The Universe in a Grain of Sand – The Miniature and Brick Carving of Chen Forng-Shean. Next we began to collect and organize the information we gathered about Teacher Chen Forng-Shean and the art of miniature and brick carving. We visited The Chen Forgn-Shean Miniature Art Museum. We also interviewed the owner. We admired the outstanding works and had a great experience trying the difficult art of brick carving. It was such a great and rewarding experience.
At the end of the semester, we planned a guided tour for all the students to know about Teacher Chen Forgn-Shean and the art of miniature and brick caving. Before the presentation we had to collect and arrange the information and the interview script. We also had to write our reflections on the visit, and the experience of brick carving. We finally worked on the guided tour, arranged the photos and improve our website. All these activities reduced the time dedicated t the map time. The teachers also made an outstanding effort to help us improve our computer skills and the way our team should work efficiently on a common project. We owe our teachers a great deal and thank them a lot.

As the proverb goes “Time flies”. Without realizing it four months have passed since I first took place in the cyber fair. I have learned a lot. In the beginning, I had no idea about the art of miniature and brick carving. As time elapsed, I have finally understood all about the art of miniature and brick carving. The interview revealed the mysterious world of miniature and brick carving.
For me the most impressive part of the activity was the making of the posters. We reviewed how to use the software we came across while we were in grade 3. We printed out sixteen sheets of A4 paper. After many minor incidents in the process we finally came up with the right work. Besides, we learned how to cut the photos, process the images, collect and organize the information, and cooperate with other team mates (mainly share the work to work more efficiently).
I want to thank our teachers for staying on our side and working with us. I also want to thank Teacher Chen Forng-Shean for welcoming us and above all for teaching us the art of brick carving. We have learned a lot about the art of miniature and brick carving.

I was very impressed by the previous cyber fair conducted by our former peers. It was very interesting and rich in content. Therefore I decided to apply for the coming cyber fair, went through an interview and luckily was selected. After four months of work I learned the procedure of a project, how to conduct an interview, how to categorize information and translate them into brain maps. We also got additional training in in ACDsee and Photolmpact software that help you work on photos.
We work together and discussed every step as a team before making final decisions. I was lucky to meet Mr. Chen Forgn-Shean who introduced us to the wonderful world of brick carving and miniature carving. I was really happy I was able to join that project. I hope I will be able to join a cyber fair in Junior High school too.

Four months ago I was interviewed to be a team member of the school new cyber fair project. It has been four months and I have learned a lot about what a cyber fair is and how to work in an efficient way with my classmates. The past years teams of our school all got good prizes in the cyber fairs they attended. Once I joined I found out that it was not that easy. We had to keep the work log, collect and categorize information, visit the premises, conduct interviews, set up an exhibition, make posters, create a web page, and master the art of retouching pictures.
Four months have passed and I am glad I have learned so much about brick carving and the art of miniature carving. I have been touched by the genuine spirit Mr. Chen Forgn-Shean displays while talking about his art and his dedication to preserve it for future generations.

When I joined the cyber fair team, I did not know much about it. After four months working on the project, I have learned new things that I would not have learned in class, and I have also made new friends. Every time we met we completed our missions step by step with great diligence. Over that period of time our perception of team work and achievement has changed to the best.
Our website has been completed step by step, and I must say it is the brainchild of our team. We gained lots experience and skills through the making of our webpage, collecting and organizing data, making posters, and setting up an exhibit. I realized that I should have joined the cyber fair team last year. I am a six grader now and I may not have any other opportunity to do such a challenging and rewarding work. I would like to thank our teachers for their help and dedication.

Not long after the semester began, my friend and I were admitted to participate in the Cyber Fair. When we met for the first orientation, the teacher explained to us that it was going to be hard work; however, if we could persevere with our work to meet our goals, we would be sure to gain many different life experiences.
After some discussion, we decided to use Mr. Chen’s miniature artwork for this year’s Cyber Fair topic. We searched separately for information about Mr. Chen’s art work online, but we couldn’t find much information about his work. Consequently, we decided to visit Mr. Chen’s miniature art museum and interview Mr. Chen in person in order to get first hand information. During our visit to the miniature museum, we found Mr. Chen to be amiable, and he answered our questions as well as he could. Not only did we see his artwork but also we learned how to brick carve and did some brick carving by ourselves, as instructed by Mr. Chen. This visit was definitely a great experience.
After the visit, we needed to organize our interviews about Mr. Chen’s life, artwork, and art styles as we prepared for the final exhibition. Before the exhibition, we decorated the place for the exhibition, made a billboard introducing Mr. Chen’s work, prepared a script about the miniature art work and also created a simulation of the exhibition. We felt nervous when the real exhibition began, fearing that we wouldn’t be able to answer the questions asked by our classmates. All in all, we were delighted to have the opportunity to participate in this year's Cyber Fair. We not only know more about the history and meaning of Mr. Chen’s artwork, but also experienced things that we had never experienced before.

At the beginning of October, some of my friends and I joined the open audition for the Cyber Fair. They recruited ten students, and one of my friends and I were fortunate enough to be selected for this fair as two of the ten.
First, we needed to choose the topic for this Cyber Fair. With the help of our teacher, we decided on the topic of Mr. Chen's miniature museum. Together, we did online research and visited Mr. Chen's miniature museum. We were all very pleased with the result of our final exhibition. We gained a lot from this cooperative endeavor.
I feel fortunate that I was selected for this Cyber Fair, even though we didn’t win the competition. I’ve had many valuable experiences as a result. I would like to thank my teacher for giving me this wonderful opportunity. I hope I can participate in the Cyber Fair again next year!

When I first joined the Cyber Fair, participants didn’t know one another; consequently, the teacher wanted us to get to know each other well. Gradually, we became better acquainted. Because we needed to choose a topic for the Cyber Fair, we were asked by our teacher to come up with our own topics individually by using mind mapping. After some discussion and voting, Mr. Chen’s miniature art museum was chosen as our topic for the Cyber Fair.
In preparation for the project, we visited Mr. Chen's miniature art museum and had the chance to interview him in person. Also, we learned how to do brick carving after being taught by Mr. Chen. Four months passed swiftly, and the Cyber Fair project almost came to an end. We’ve learned many things from this fair, including research methods and the use of computers, and we developed a spirit of good team work. We’ve made a great effort throughout this project.
As a saying goes “You’ll get as much out as you put in,” I firmly believe in the truth of this saying because we have worked hard and we have learned so much. I am delighted that I was able to participate in the Cyber Fair and I would like to thank all of my instructors for helping and teaching me during this project!

I could vividly remember I was extremely nervous at the audition. I felt lucky to be in this team. After several months of meeting, I found that it took hard work to win the prize.
The teacher asked us to brainstorm the topics and draw mind maps, and then we have decided to choose Chen Forgn-Shean Miniature Art Museum as our topic after months of discussion. We have searched information, visited museum, planned exhibition in the end of semester, and assisted each other during guided tour. It was amazing to accomplish our project website with teamwork.
No matter what our scores will be, I have gain so much knowledge and I would like to participate in the activity next year.

After this semester started, our homeroom teacher chose three students to apply for 2017 Cyberfair. I was so lucky to be in this team after the audition.
We needed to come up a topic and drew a mind map for the topic we suggested. Through thorough discussion, we decided to choose Chen Forgn-Shean Miniature Art Museum as our project topic. We had fully research before interviewing with Mr. Chen. Then we came up with interview questions. On that day, Mr. Chen welcomed us kindly, and we spent two hours interview and also tour in the museum. We even experienced brick carving DIY activity. We have learned a lot in this trip.
Then, we designed the activities in the exhibition we held in the end of semester. We needed to design posters and decorate the route in this two-day exhibition. This was my first time being a tour guide, so I was really nervous. We explained details for teachers and students what we have accomplished.
I would like to thank my teachers for reminding us key points during the tour and provided useful suggestions. Thanks to their help, I have learned a lot and accomplished the mission successfully.
