Mr. Chen said that brick carving, wood carving and stone carving were three traditional building art in early Taiwan; however, brick carving has been forgotten gradually. Today, brick carving can only be seen in Lin Family Mansion and Garden, Sanxia Old Street, ancient compounds and temples.
In view of this, we invited the social science teacher to teach students the basic knowledge of brick carving before having the field trip to Lin Family Mansion and Garden on Happy Learning Day.
